Why the Learning Environment Matters
Learning physical environment influences the confidence and comfort of children significantly. It also impacts on their growth and success.
In Tumaini School we hold the belief that a secure and friendly environment can make the children perform their best. Improvement of classrooms makes learners feel appreciated. They feel motivated. And they feel ready to learn.
Renewing the Grade 8 Classroom
This can be seen in the Grade 8 classroom at Tumaini. The room had been weather-beaten. Today it has a roof of new stuff, new paint, new flooring, new windows.
The very room that once seemed fatigued is now sunny and shiny and inviting. The learners are now learning in an environment that facilitates attention, comfort, and confidence.
These are not only building work. They are marks of faith, love and devotion. They demonstrate how what used to appear impossible can become something new.

A New Beginning in the Nursery Wing
The nursery wing is no different to the story of renewal. Long enough no one supposed that laughter and learning would fill these rooms.
Children are today sitting on colorful tables with full eyes of hope. They are finding the pleasure of learning in an environment that nurtures them and helps them grow.

This change is a wakeup call that as we invest into learning spaces, we are equally investing into the future of children.
Through your support, we are determined to continue building learning environments where all children can become safe, confident and inspired to learn
