Education for Life Society Canada

Empowering Kenyan children through Canadian support and global partnership.

Over the last 10 years, a desire to support the work of Education for Life has been growing in Canada. Through this society Canadians will be able to have a much greater impact in the lives of Kenyan children.

Education for Life Society Canada has been working since 2015 to provide support to the students and staff of Tumaini Timbwani School in Kenya as well as the farmers of the Zaidi program at Taita Hills.

Summer 2005

It all started with a chance meeting in Kenya. A young adult from Edmonton met someone from Education for Life on the street in Likoni, sparking a life-changing connection.

Edmonton Visits

Jane and Glyn began visiting family in Edmonton. News spread about their work at Tumaini School and Children’s Home, building new supporters.

2012 Playground

A team from Calvary Community Church partnered with the Emmanuel Foundation to install a playground, blessing the school, children’s home, and entire community.

Society Formation

Marianne, Jen, Connie, and others formed Education for Life Society Canada to support fundraising and children’s education opportunities.
