It was certainly a day to remember for the Tumaini Primary Choir and 5 members of staff. After the initial disappointment of not being able to attend the National Music Festival our Choir soon found their voice again when our first school trip to Tsavo East National Park was arranged.
We managed to hire a 50 seater coach and left Tumaini very early so that we could arrive at Tsavo East before lunch, with Austin as the safari guide, the coach set off in search of animals.
As it was the first visit to a game reserve for most of our staff and students, there was a lot of excitement when they spotted the first elephant. It would take too long to list all the animals spotted but the favourites seemed to be the elephants and giraffes.
Thanks for checking in on us, next week should bring more interesting stories.
